Distributed Green Ammonia Production. We Are Bringing the Heat.

AmmoniQ will provide a resilient, scalable production of ammonia using only air, water and clean electricity.

Ammonia is Critical Infrastructure — But Broken

Ammonia underpins global food production and is emerging as a key energy carrier. Yet 99% of it is made using fossil fuels, in centralised plants dependent on fragile global supply chains. Price volatility, geopolitical risk, and carbon emissions are structural problems.

Green Ammonia. Valuable Heat. One Process.

Our patented electrochemical technology produces green ammonia while recovering high-value heat at the same time. Traditional ammonia production wastes enormous amounts of energy. We turn that lost heat into value — creating a smarter, more profitable way to produce ammonia locally.

The Same Process That Makes Ammonia Also Generates Heat.

Conventional ammonia production depends on fossil fuels, large centralised plants, and inefficient global supply chains while losing valuable process heat. Our solution uses air, water, and renewable electricity to produce fertiliser-grade ammonia while capturing and reusing the heat generated during production with no extra energy input.

The result is two valuable outputs from one system: green ammonia and recoverable industrial heat. By lowering production costs through heat recovery, we make small-scale, distributed ammonia production commercially viable for the first time. Protected by a growing patent portfolio and proven at laboratory scale.

Markets

Ammonia is one of the most versatile molecules in industry. We are entering where the need is most immediate.

Agriculture

Local, fertiliser-grade ammonia production, combined with heat ,gives farmers resilience against price volatility and global supply disruptions.

Defence

Ammonia is a key precursor for explosives and propellants. Local, on-demand production reduces dependence on centralised supply chains in contexts where security of supply is critical.

Renewable Integration

Ammonia is a compelling medium for long-term energy storage and hydrogen transport,
with significantly higher energy density than battery alternatives.

And more

From industrial feedstocks to maritime fuel, ammonia’s applications extend across sectors. The platform is built to scale across all of them.

An Invention to Make Ammonia Local, Affordable, and Clean

Founded in Sweden in 2023, AmmoniQ Solutions was built on one breakthrough insight: the same chemistry that produces ammonia also generates valuable heat. By capturing that heat instead of wasting it, we make small-scale green ammonia production economically viable for the first time.

Today, that insight powers a patented technology platform with growing interest from partners across agriculture, defence, and industry. Backed by grants from Energimyndigheten and Vinnova, and supported by leading innovation programs including UIC, BIA, and RISE, AmmoniQ is building the future of local ammonia production.
